OLLIE AND GINGER
Our 250g soy wax candles burn for approximately 35–50 hours. For optimal results, trim the wick to 3mm before each use and allow the wax to melt evenly across the surface.
Our candles are crafted from 100% natural soy wax, premium fragrance oils, and lead-free cotton wicks. We don't use any additives or paraffin.
Candle tunneling happens when the wax doesn't melt all the way to the edge. To avoid this, make sure to let your candle burn until the wax pool reaches the edges (about 2–3 hours) during the first burn.
Absolutely! Once your candle is finished, fill the glass with boiling water and let the residue float to the surface and harden. Remove the hardened wax, then wash the glass with warm soapy water or place it in the dishwasher. Our whiskey glasses are designed to be reused, perfect for drinks and cocktails !
Yes! Our candle box is made from sturdy cardboard that can be recycled with paper waste or repurposed. It makes a great holder for pens, watches, and jewelry. The ribbon is logo-free and can be used for future gifting. The outer shipping box is also recyclable, and the packing beans dissolve in water.
Unfortunately, we do not ship overseas at this stage.
Each burn should not exceed approximately 3 hours at one time. A longer burn time changes the structure of the wax and my cause the candle to burn unevenly. Letting the candle cool allows the wax structure to reform and ensure an even burn. Remember to trim the wick !
The healthiest candles to burn are ones made from natural waxes like beeswax, soy and coconut and have wicks made of cotton or wood.
According to some cultures, a candle can be a symbol that you are burning the relationship you have, but on the contrary many cultures also believe that candles can be a reminder of light and love which is what you want to convey when giving a gift to friends and family.
I second that !
When burning, the flame of your candle should be bright, vivid and eye-catching.
Mass-produced candles are likely to be either too big or too small without that comforting flicker of a quality candle. Slow and even burning means a premium blend of wax has been used.
No, candles do not expire but they do degrade in quality over time, which can weaken their scent and affect their burn performance. The lifespan of a candle depends on its ingredients, with natural waxes like soy having a shorter shelf life than paraffin wax. Best to light them within 12 to 18 months of purchase !
Yes, candles can melt in a hot car because a car's interior can quickly reach temperatures high enough to exceed the melting point of the wax. The exact melting point varies by wax type, but some, like soy or coconut wax, can begin to soften around 104°F(40°C) and completely melt well before a car reaches its maximum interior temperature of 172°F(78°C).
